OFFICES
There
have long been good business reasons for operating multiple offices,
including:
|
| |
Locating
staff close to specific geographical markets.
|
| |
Locating
staff close to key suppliers.
|
| |
Locating
certain operations in low cost areas. |
|
While
it has been desirable, and even necessary, to operate in this manner,
it often causes an organisation to operate in an incohesive - and
so inefficient - manner. There are now effective IT solutions available
which greatly facilitate multiple offices in working together as
though they were located in a single office. While these cannot
totally eliminate the barriers that arise through geographical isolation,
they can go a very long way towards bringing them down.
