Sage 50cloud

Sage 50cloud Accounts is intended for: small and medium sized owner managed businesses, charities, and other not for profit organisations.  It is the latest member of a family of products (including Sage 50, Sage Line 50 and Sage Sterling) which has been the preferred choice of accounts software for small and medium sized businesses and charities in the UK since the mid 1980s.  Consequently it’s a great match with their needs and concerns, and you can be confident of long term support.

It is so widely used that it would be a real surprise if your external accountants aren’t familiar with it.  If you’re recruiting, many candidates will already be familiar and confident with Sage 50cloud.  It’s easy to learn and there are many options for training from self study, through classroom courses to tailored on site tuition.  It optionally links to other Sage products, for example to handle payroll calculations and ease the pain of dealing with HMRC (Sage Payroll) or to take customer payments using Sage Pay.

There are three different levels in the Sage 50cloud family. You can upgrade easily at any time as your business grows or your needs change.  And if you outgrow Sage 50cloud Sage provide an easy upgrade path to Sage 200cloud.

Sage 50cloud Essentials

Sage 50 Accounts is designed to help you complete all your regular accounts tasks easily and on time. Above all, however, it recognises that you’re not interested in accounts for their own sake, but as a means of managing cash, profitability and the other things that ensure the survival and success of your business.

Sage 50cloud Standard

As you business grows and develops Sage 50cloud Standard builds on the firm foundations of Sage 50cloud Essentials by helping you manage job / project costs, customer specific pricing, bill of materials and stock allocation

Sage 50cloud Professional

If you’re buying and selling products, trading in foreign currencies, need more than 2 users or have more than 10 companies, then Sage 50cloud Professional adds the sales and purchase order processing and foreign trading tools you will need, allows unlimited users and supports multiple companies

Have you already outgrown Sage 50cloud

Sage 50cloud’s ease of use and guidance through essential accounts processes, such as VAT returns, makes it especially suitable where the day to day accounts are done by the business owner or a bookkeeper.  It’s ease of use, support for such a wide range of day to day accounting needs and low cost unfortunately sometimes results in organisations opting for it when the wiser choice is Sage 200cloud.
